These chords should get you through most of your strumming needs. They're some of the most commonly used chords in music today. All of the charts show which notes make up the given chord and the names of each of those notes. Fret numbers are indicated below in gray. Hopefully, this will give you a better understanding of how these chords are structured, and make them easier to learn.
Each of the following buttons will show the appropriate chord in the small window below. There's no need to leave this page or open separate windows. You can copy any chart by right-clicking the image and choosing Save Picture As.
If you need more advanced chords, go to the Moveable Charts page. There you'll find chords which are applicable all over the guitar. They are arranged so that you can find a root note on whichever string you want.
